Black men keep thinking that if they speak w/ honesty, truth, logic, & common sense, that they can finally get through, be heard, and find true understanding.
Lol.
The smartest Black men knew that shit was never happening, and checked out.
I just wish they gave us the game.
My goal in life is not to be rich or wealthy / 'Cause true wealth comes from good health and wise ways / We got to start taking better care of ourselves / Be healthy, y'all
“Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on earth, for what they believe is what they will become.”
Being black and having a different opinion than the group, has been like this for as long as I can remember.
That's why a lot of us in life, learned to shut the fuck up and move in silence and get shit done.
What I love about this scene is that Huey simply has a different opinion and it disrupted this supposed black unity. When Uncle Ruckus shows up and agrees with Huey, people will then associate Huey with Ruckus despite his reasoning being completely different.
That's how it is in real life and social media. Just because you have a different opinion and some Uncle Ruckus or racist agree with you doesn't mean you align with them. They attach themselves to your opinion to validate their own personal bias, which is something you have no control over.
That's why when you say something they disagree with, they will also attack you too because their intent was never aligned with yours to begin with.
That's why the whole "See, you cultivated these kinds of people and now they are turning on you." Is stupid, no I didn't cultivate anything, these people latched onto my opinion to validate their own internal bias without knowing the nuance of my opinion.
De'Aaron after looking at the ingredients of the infamous Gatorade:
"That's so much sugar. I don't drink Gatorade or Powerade or any sports drink really"
Youth sports isn’t ruined by kids, it’s adults chasing trophies, rankings, and highlight reels over growth.
We’ve traded development for exposure, joy for pressure, and teamwork for ego.
Fix the adults, and you fix the game.
It’s that simple.
As the Kansas City Young Republicans ramp up momentum for the midterms we continue to meet with members and plug them into opportunities to support Conservative and Liberty oriented reforms.
This month we are proud to co-host our Happy Hour with @AFPMissouri@jmcalloway7
I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.
Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do. More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them
