So I am totally disgusted by the #PSLF. I provided accurate information and I have been told me case has been closed. This is a disgrace! Hours of on hold....nothing. Elected officials, do something! @POTUS@SenWhitehouse@SenJackReed
This moment from @KamalaHarris’ questioning of Brett Kavanaugh at his Senate hearing has never left me.
"Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make decisions about the male body?"
We say we're preparing students for careers that don't exist yet. However, an education system which focuses on standardized testing as the measure of success inadequately nurtures the very qualities necessary for creativity and innovation for success in those future careers.
@MyPowerSchool , I cannot log in to my SchoolSpring account. You are not resending me a password to reset my password. I emailed support. Your chatbot is a disaster. I am uncomfortable with the amount of personal information that I am
@MOHELA , how many more times do I need to keep submitting the same information for you to keep getting it wrong? Shameful. @POTUS , clean up this mess! #pslf
The big #pslf and @MOHELA scam. I have proof of my 120+ qualifying payments. Yet, the transfer to MOHELA as the loan servicer says I don’t. Of course not! I transferred to them. Someone fix this mess! DISGUSTING @POTUS@SenWhitehouse@SenJackReed
A few of the problems with attrition and the lack of new teachers pool is:
1) workload increases every year without relief
2) many feel lack of support, respect, value, etc.
3) pay doesn't even keep up with inflation, much less reflect the professional nature of the work.
@SecCardona Then you must end the takeover that had been standardized testing! After 20 years, has it been the panacea that was going to create equitable schools for children? Testing has stripped the joy, curiosity, and respect from schools. Art education is 1 example of collateral damage
@PTU958@RIDeptEd The essential question that needs to be answered, in any school system, but especially in this takeover is this: how are the policies, practices—operational and instructional—creating conditions so that EVERYONE (students and adults) can do their best work?
By a show of retweets, how many people have been waiting for years to receive PSLF but have been denied without rational explanation or sent to pound sand on the hamster wheel of eternal waiting by @MOHELA and their equally disgraceful predecessor Fedloan?! @SecCardona just stop.
We spend over $8 Billion dollars a year on teacher attrition (turnover) and probably more this year. Imagine if we spent the money on actually trying to retain teachers instead.
