More importantly, to whom and in what world does the number 7 represent a left winger. I’m sorry Estepina, you’re on the wrong side, or 4 squad numbers too low.
@FootballCliches incredible commentary at the end of the hydration break in Ger v Ecu. Sub comes on “ostensibly a left back but as we all know just as much a left winger, thus the squad number 7”.
Firstly, Ostensibly is such a niche word that is inexplicably used so much more in football than anywhere else in life. Never really thought about this until I started writing this message but… it struck me!
@PrestonsWomble Hayes the best of the 3, especially if they actually let her talk tactics (which is clearly what she’s there for). ITV coverage is so poor. Not helped by the US based camera angles and directors cutting away from the ball in play for player close ups.
@WhiteHouse Free movement between citizens of all states though right. So this would entitle every Venezuelan to move to wherever in America they want, no visa, no checks, just allowed in.
@LauraKirk12 That’s right, stay positive, it could always be worse… at least Arsenal don’t have a recent history of good starts to a season being tragically thrown away…
@SimonMcCoyTV Is this a response to “Breaking News” being the same story all day. How do we say we’re updating a story if “Andrew MW arrested” (for example) is “Breaking News” for 12 hours? “Let me bring you the very latest…” is a weak way of dealing with a problem brought upon themselves!
Millwall 3 Southampton 2 was an absolute Modern Championship Classic. Incidents, chances, fortunes swinging constantly, crowd fully engaged, bursting away end, frantic finish and a goal of the season contender. Some Premier League games offer little. This took your breath away.
