Its madness…homelessness, drug and gang infested hoods and barrios. I walk through the dingy apartment complexes, the housing projects, the littered streets with many MANY immovable RVs parked in the streets.

The soulless character of this city is overwhelming and engulfing.

I see it. I get paid to be in it. Hopefully most of you don’t have to.

Almost every day the thought of selling everything and running away to a small town is very tempting, but I have to finish the job. My Lord, has allowed me to see that the most hardened criminals can find Jesus. Ive had them call me long after their debt to society through the judicial system has ended to tell me that they changed their life, one or two of them, to tell me that they gave their life to Jesus. The tears in their faces and the tremble in their voice proved to me their sincerity. This gives me hope and motivation to continue in my career.

Remember, in Matthew 18:10-14 and Luke 15:1-7…The shepherd left 99 sheep to look for the 1 that went astray…Im sure it wasn’t easy finding it.

Lets pray for each other family, that we endure, for zeal to evangelize, and for holiness! The harvest is plentiful! Viva Cristo Rey!!!
