@gruber Regarding the cord, new electrical code is that you can’t have outlets on the side of the island (risk of a child or person in a mobility device pulling something down with the cord) and instead have to have them on the top either recessed or pop up. Also ruining the aesthetic.
Good voting day in Colorado when the @COSecofState tool for finding your local polling or ballot drop location shows that there are no upcoming elections.
@cgansen@jeffwilcox We had one in downtown Denver that was literally the door next to a Concentra urgent care downtown, which seemed super fishy. And it disappeared recently. Surely nothing to see here…
@jeffwilcox A big one for me this year was finding out that Daylight Saving Time takes effect weeks apart in US vs EU. To be fair my EU counterparts were also unaware.
My @AmazonFresh delivery last night was delivered to the wrong house, chatted with them this morning and they apologized for the "incontinence". Somehow the driver still got to keep the tip!
Very disappointed in the new Colorado COVID risk category. If you're going to call it "Extreme Risk", why not make it "Mountain Dew Xtreme Risk COVID Blast". I'm sure Taco Bell would happily partner on food products that would effectively trap people in their homes.
"The average workday lengthened by 48.5 minutes in the weeks following stay-at-home orders and lockdowns, and the number of meetings increased by 13 percent"

Hey @CityofDenver and @LabCorp - I went in for COVID testing 15 days ago and still have no results. The phone number to call was also super helpful in advising me to visit the website instead due to high call volume and then hanging up on me.
Great write up from @gruber on the annoyances of online referrals (especially with regards to already paying customers), but a clean miss on not titling it “Refer Madness”. https://t.co/KO5bOdhp6d
Observation
Asking your friend with a drone to shoot your real estate photos is the equivalent of asking your friend with an SLR to shoot your wedding photos.
It pays the bills, but it’s not why they got into it.
