I used to like it here. Migrating to 🦋, same handle

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

seems Twitter is still useful for commiserating when Reddit is down

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

Nvm, 🦋 much better for me

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

Maybe too late but I requested my Twitter archive. Otherwise reeling it in and looking into this Mastadon thing.

I picked an instance...

@harikondabolu My home is shoe-free, but house rules change when welcoming a crowd. Gardner and Newman are being unfairly maligned for these quotes taken out of context, especially when no link to the full piece follows. FWIW: https://t.co/X0lpGPjo1J

Never thought a platform would deplatform itself

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@TiarnanTweets @canva They're hyping AI tools but that's circling-the-drain behavior...

@RonDeSantis Say no to fascism.

Could a tweep spare a Bluesky invite?

Not into supporting this site, and the pachyderm place is too fragile.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@donwinslow @DEADLINE I also believe in "the importance of TCM two our culture," as well as good editing.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@jakebraekes @bikelaneuprise @Fortune_fish The odd part is that Chicago is a city that has ALLEYS. And NONE of them is used for deliveries unless they're downtown. There's zero downside to just blocking traffic with abandon. It's not a "modern society" thing but an "archaic norms" thing.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@drskyskull This all feels very "breaking bad" to me but I don't want to search for conspiracy theories about his health. Bringing the sink to HQ with a wink read to me as, "I'm going to SINK it, get it?"

@MisterX1853333 @MickWest RIP Amazing Randi

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

lol this site is still good for checking that Reddit is down.

Also FU @twitter for making phone-based 2FA a "blue" feature. I prefer an authenticator app anyway but to make 2FA harder in order to get some more cash looks super desperate.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@onsnapmobile Please work on the app notifications being wrong too: it has been broken THE WHOLE SCHOOL YEAR. Thank you.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@onsnapmobile is the Snap! Connect app not working for all users? It has not worked for three days in Chicago. Crashes in seconds. I cannot file a ticket in the app because I cannot run it.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@sophieblack @JoeGearhead @its_the_Dr This fire is from 2/6

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@seanhannity Versus the werewolves and vampires guy? People should vote for the adult here, or whoever you don't recommend.

[J.M. @jmsaltzman]

@onsnapmobile app consistently shows notifications for unread messages when all messages have been read. It makes the app useless for notifications since it always shows notifications. This issue was acknowledged many months ago, have seen no improvement since.
