स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, द्वारा राष्ट्रीय ई-पुस्तकालय (ReP) पर राष्ट्रीय काव्य उत्सव 2026 का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। देशभर के कक्षा 9वीं से 12वीं तक के विद्यार्थियों को इस राष्ट्रीय कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाता है।
प्रतिभागी ReP पर उपलब्�� कविताओं में से अपनी पसंद की एक कविता चुनकर उसका 60-90 सेकंड का वाचन वीडियो तैयार कर सकते हैं तथा निर्धारित सोशल मीडिया हैंडल एवं हैशटैग के साथ अपनी प्रविष्टि साझा कर सकते हैं।

Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education encourages students from Classes IX to XII across the country to participate in Rashtriya Kavya Utsav 2026, a National Recitation Competition being organised on Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (ReP) from 1st June to 31st July 2026.
Students may select a poem from the list available on the ReP platform, record a 60–90 second video of their recitation, upload it on social media using the prescribed official handles and hashtag and submit their entry through https://t.co/8umKVnZf3x.

On 29th May 2026, Sri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, inaugurated National Award Ceremony for School Challenge–TOFEI 2025 and launched the Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya Action Plan and Portal, reaffirming commitment of the Government towards creating tobacco-free and drug-free educational institutions. In his keynote address, he emphasised the need for sustained awareness, institutional responsibility and collective action to safeguard students from tobacco and substance abuse, while fostering healthier and safer learning environments across the country.
The Three-Year Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya Action Plan (2026–2029), focuses on strengthening prevention, awareness, monitoring and capacity-building initiatives through dedicated Nasha Mukt Vidyalaya portal, curriculum integration, teacher training and nationwide outreach campaigns at National, state and district levels.
The inaugural session also featured a special address by Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director, NCERT, on “Towards a Drug & Tobacco Free India: The Transformative Role of Educational Institutions”, where he underscored the vital role of schools and educators in shaping responsible behaviour, promoting mental well-being and building a culture of prevention and awareness among young learners. Representatives from States/UTs and Autonomous Bodies, along with senior officials and education stakeholders, participated in the programme.

Hon’ble Union Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan chaired a review meeting at CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi today. The meeting was attended by the Secretary, DoSEL, CBSE Chairperson, Directors of IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur, along with senior officers from MoE, KVS, PSBs and CBSE.
In the meeting, the progress of the CBSE Class XII evaluation and post-result processes was discussed and reviewed. Deliberations focused on providing student friendly re- evaluation portal, strengthening CBSE’s digital platforms, enhancing student exam and result facilitation mechanisms, and improving evaluation and monitoring systems.
Stakeholders also highlighted measures undertaken for student support and outlined future plans for robust, transparent and technology-enabled service delivery aimed at greater student benefit.

In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation.
