@Snubs Seems they know of this issue since they covered it. Could be related but not sure how much design the S22 Ultra and Z fold 5 share. I was able to get my device into recovery screen while plugged in at first. I should have backed up & wiped device then. Completely dead later

@Snubs I had the same problem on an S22 Ultra. End results was it needed a new motherboard. Seems there is some error that can get into a state where the device logic refuses to charge the battery. Samsung covered it even though it was 1 mo past manufacturers warranty.

@thephysicsgirl My favorite response to this question was from a well known cryptographer who answered "lightly encrypted in your wallet". There may not be a "best", but even when using password safes we should remember that most people know how to keep physical things like wallets secure.

@RhysRhaven @LimorElbaz @jwgoerlich The solution is to turn payments from a data protection problem to an authentication problem. And btw, a PIN doesn't help because offline EMV PIN implementation is broken (there are simple ways around it). Online PIN generally is pretty good.
