4️⃣ Accountability and oversight:
If federal officials violate people’s rights, there must be investigations and consequences. Transparency and accountability are essential to a functioning immigration system.

3️⃣ More transparency and privacy protections:
Body cameras should be used for accountability of federal agents, not surveillance. Personal data collected by the government must not be weaponized against our communities.

2️⃣ Protect our homes and our privacy:
Agents should not be able to enter homes or other private spaces without a warrant signed by a judge. Congress must protect people from unlawful searches.

These are the safeguards we’re asking Congress to include in any DHS funding bill.

1️⃣ Protect sensitive locations:
Schools, hospitals and places of worship should be safe spaces. Immigration enforcement has no place where people go to learn, receive care or practice their faith.

Congress could vote on new funding for DHS this THURSDAY. Any deal must include strong guardrails that protect our rights & hold the administration accountable for unlawful tactics in immigration enforcement.

Khamenei was the epitome of evil. For decades, he oversaw the torture, imprisonment, and murder of countless Iranians who dared to demand freedom. American blood is on his hands as well. No one should mourn him and his death is a relief.
