@_Railcards I'm a support worker and am receiving the following error message when trying to purchasing a railcard via your website for the person I support, who needs it digitally by Friday. Please help!
Wearing a mask is a powerful statement. It says:
‘I care about myself and those around me’
‘I won’t be gaslit’
‘I reject disinformation’
‘I don’t cave in to peer pressure’
Covid isn’t a single event. It’s a trigger. It triggers new medical conditions. Preexisting conditions are exacerbated. It reactivates latent viruses. You age decades. Dysfunctional immune systems may not fend off pathogens efficiently in the future. It ends in premature death.
My niece has a rare condition that impairs her immune system. She visited a few months ago and everywhere we went it was like those who didn’t wear a mask had a huge neon sign on them that read “I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE” that only we could see.

Did you you know public consultation on how the official UK Covid enquiry should be run ENDS on 7th April?
The government have kept this awfully quiet - I can't think why.
Please have your say. Make your voice heard.

When powerful people play their war games, it is the most vulnerable in society who suffer. My heart is with every vulnerable person whose world has become less safe tonight because of the interests of imperialism and the military industrial complex.
We are heading into the most dangerous period of the pandemic, where everyone is exhausted and desensitised and governments are giving up on control measures.
How many ways do I have to explain that it is inhumane, ableist, cruel, and just plain unrealistic to expect disabled and immunocompromised people to stay home forever so you don't have to do the bare minimum of wearing a mask in public?
It is wild to live in a culture acting like we are overreacting to Covid when everything within my ability to reason suggests we are dramatically under-reacting.
“Airborne” is a hard concept to grasp: The fact you can get Covid from someone breathing the same air — but who left the room TWO HOURS AGO. Definitely plenty of people who felt safe without a mask because they were the only one in the store, for example.
I’m going to say this as boldly and unapologetically as possible.
To the non-disabled community:
Show up for the disabled and chronically ill.
Show up for us before you become a member of our community - which you probably will - only to realize no one is showing up for you.
Anyone else having a hard time focusing in literally anything other than the largest infectious disease outbreak in the history of the planet that is happening right now?
1/3 When we entered lockdown, suddenly everyone got an insight into life for someone with chronic illness & housebound. Online activities increased with zoom groups coming out of the woodwork & a new world of connection by virtual means opened up in a way it never had before. ..
Wearing a mask isn’t a political choice: it’s just a kind, decent, fairly easy thing to do. Anyone wearing a mask isn’t protecting themselves as much as protecting those around them. It’s the opposite of personal responsibility: it’s care for others. This is worth a read👇
