CRY representative Deborah Dixon (@debsydixon) will be on the sofa of @BBCBreakfast at 8am this morning, joined by CRY Consultant Professor Aneil Malhotra (@DrAneilMalhotra) to discuss the importance of cardiac screening for young people. BBC Breakfast also visited a CRY screening event in memory of @TomClabburnFund and interviewed CRY supporter Hilary Nicholls (@Hils_Nicholls) about Clarissa's campaign in memory of her daughter Clarissa. #TestMyHeart #HeartMonth #12AWeek
A pleasure to interview @MihneaCasian & develop an in-depth feature for @CRY_UK - a fascinating insight into sports cardiology & screening policy from both UK & European perspectives + capturing the importance of CRY’s Research Programme @StGeorgesUni https://t.co/jdkQnBH0Ky
CRY is excited to announce it's charity partnership with the Cambridge Half Marathon 2025. The charity was chosen following the tragic death of Clarissa Nicholls, a student at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University. Funds raised will support CRY’s research in memory of Clarissa.
This popular event, taking place on the 9th March 2025, offers runners an exciting tour through the beautiful city of Cambridge. The course is fast and flat, making it ideal for those aiming to achieve a personal best or looking to complete their first half marathon!

Today we spoke to Tim during our phone-in, who bravely opened up about the loss of his son, who passed away at the age of 35.
We wanted to share this call with you - with the permission of Tim - as we received so many messages of support for Tim after the impact his call had. Our hearts go out to everyone who is dealing with loss of any kind.

We lose the equivalent of a state secondary school of young people each year to undiagnosed heart conditions. This has been the case since @CRY_UK started in 1995. A simple ECG can pick up these conditions and save lives. #shadowdhsc#preventativehealthcare#helpingyoungpeople
"The best thing we can do in her memory is bring about real change"

An ECG costs less than a pair of f’ball boots. We lose the equivalent of a secondary state school p.a to young sudden cardiac death in the UK. #screeningsaveslives#grassroots thanks @cathynewman
Thank you @cathynewman & Hilary for sharing this really powerful piece. Clarissa's story is 1 of the 12 each week happening in the UK. @CRY_UK believes every young person 14-35 should have the choice to their heart tested for a cardiac condition. #TestMyHeart
Can thoroughly recommend rolling up your sleeves and getting involved with this amazing charity @CRY_UK (or any other deserving cause which touches your heart ❤️ ). Volunteering is so good for the soul @Huddy57@LisaWardComms @tmw1708 + 🐶@TrinityPR#givingback#charity#12aweek
