There's a concept called the "Four Stages of Competence" that I refer to when learning something new.
It was first created by Matthew Broadwell in 1969.
It says we progress through stages when moving from total novice to expert at a given craft.
The stages are as follows:
Historical type day up front for Indy. Nate Martinez's 15:39 (still awaiting official time) is a new school record for 5k, and Jaynie Halterman's 17:37 is a new PR and we think (?) the 2nd fastest time run in TN so far this season. 🤯
@simonsinek Hearing is passive. Listening is active.
Hearing is head. Listening is heart.
Hearing is mechanical. Listening is emotional.
Hearing is forced. Listening is natural.
Hearing is closed. Listening to is open.
Leading is a battle when you build walls around your heart.
A team of average players that pulls together will outperform a team of superstars that pulls for themselves.
Lead with an open heart so you can deliver results through relationships.
