Starting next week, my government will implement the following actions:

First, we will change the law in Spain to hold platform executives legally accountable for many infringements taking place on their sites.

Second, we will turn algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content into a new criminal offense.

Third, we will implement a hate and polarization footprint system to track, quantify, and expose how digital platforms fuel division and amplify hate.

Fourth, Spain will ban access to social media for minors under the age of 16. Platforms will be required to implement effective age verification systems — not just checkboxes, but real barriers that work.

Fifth and last, my government will work with our public prosecutor to investigate and pursue the infringement committed by Grok, TikTok, and Instagram.

Several contradictory things are simultaneously true:
1. Maduro was an oppressive, unpopular and illegitimate ruler, disastrous for his country and the region.
2. Using the US to remove him may have been equally illegitimate.
3. Venezuela would be better off with a new government under the opposition's Edmundo Gonzalez (who probably won the presidential election but is now exiled).
4. It's not clear that Maduro will be replaced by Gonzalez. Maduro's VP is still apparently in power, as are other regime figures and the Cubans who back them.
5. As we've seen in Iraq and Libya, it can be easier to topple a leader than to establish a new government; sometimes you get a worse leader, or Somalia-style chaos.

The AI bubble continues to inflate:

Nvidia's stock shot up, adding hundreds of billions to its market cap, after a new earnings report showed rising revenue and net income.

What was overlooked is that Nvidia's accounts receivable is growing fast. This is money that customers still owe to Nvidia.

So when OpenAI buys Nvidia chips on credit (because OpenAI is losing money), and when Oracle buys Nvidia chips for OpenAI data centers (which OpenAI hasn't paid for yet, and likely never will have the money to pay for), this is being considered in Nvidia's earnings report.

While announcing the new report, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang condemned critics of the AI bubble.

However, this is just another example of circular financing, like what was seen in the dot-com bubble. The results were disastrous last time. No, this time is not different.

I used to be such an international football hater. The Champions League is the pinnacle of the sport, the level is higher in the club game, international breaks suck, blah blah blah — all the classics.

But the more money gets pumped into club football, and the more unfair and lopsided it becomes, the more I’ve grown to love and appreciate the international game. It feels like the last “pure” version of football.

No bullshit billionaire owners, no state owned clubs, no hoarding the best teenagers on the planet, just the players from your country and that’s it.
