I truly don’t have a problem with the @USPS post office in Arlington Center closing early on Christmas Eve, but it would be nice if there was a way to know that’s their plan.
Like many private parking lot operators, the people who run the parking lots at @GaylordOpryland clearly have no idea what they’re doing with parking policy. Free for 20 minutes then jumps to $37? Not sure what use case they think they’re solving for, but it’s not working.
@PetruSofio Yes. I got the same complaint from a friend recently (about Inman Square). Not sure the right way to handle it, but it does seem like something that needs to be messaged to drivers.
@flynorse@EddieMakuch Assist with what? You stopped flying the route with no explanation / warning. FWIW, both @AmericanAir / @British_Airways and @Delta / @VirginAtlantic seem to be offering decent BOS-LON fares (at least for April when I rebooked), and seem less likely to suddenly abandon service.
📢#InvestingInAmerica: As part of today's @POTUS rail announcement, 69 passenger rail corridors touching every region of the country have been selected for future development through FRA's Corridor Identification and Development Program. https://t.co/TEqcZAuBPz
I guess this is what it's come to and I'm glad the T seems to have a solid and transparent plan for what needs to happen. But we shouldn't celebrate this, since it should never have come to this point (which is not the fault of the people in charge now).
The MBTA is planning to incrementally shut down large stretches of the subway for repairs in the next 14 months to eliminate the slow zones that have become a mind-numbing hallmark of Greater Boston commutes, T officials said Thursday. https://t.co/OFePbLmN4l
Exciting news, including my little $5M New Haven-Providence planning study getting funded. Also a reminder that we’re still waiting for Corridor ID (planning for new/expanded services) and Fed-State National Network (projects outside the NEC) announcements before the end of 2023.
🎉 12 major Amtrak projects will receive $10 billion in @USDOTFRA funding to transform the NEC and your future travel experience.
Combined with partner projects also funded today, this work will modernize America's busiest rail corridor.

@Maggiebeale I didn’t realize that the First Amendment ended at the City line…I think spending seven and a half years fighting for safer streets in Cambridge gives me some right to comment on the lies being told about the work we did.
Truly frustrating that her comments on outreach and business engagement go unchallenged in this article, when what she’s saying is just simply not true. https://t.co/1KgnEuLJCX
We are a nation of drivers.
Most of us use a car every day and, for many, life would be difficult without their car.
But too often, drivers feel under attack.
That changes today with a long-term plan to improve drivers' experience on the road.
Here’s how 👇🧵
