Launched today by Mrs. Mary Oakes (CEO, Opportunity International UK), Mr. Owen Amanya our CEO and Mrs. Jacqueline Kobusingye Opondo our Board Chairperson this new branch reaffirms our commitment to financial inclusion for both refugees and host communities.

Rwamwanja is home to over 110,000 refugees, with agriculture as the main economic activity. Our new branch will deliver: tailored agricultural financing, support for women-led and youth enterprises, digital and mobile banking and Financial literacy training.

From our pioneering work in Nakivale to now serving 19,000+ refugees and disbursing over UGX 4 billion in refugee-focused loans, we’ve seen first-hand that when refugees have the right financial tools, they thrive and so do their communities.
