@SusieGamino@MaddernBryan @SarahCeja03 Hi Susy, I agree with you on google classroom. It is such an easy to use program for students, teachers, and parents. I post most activities on there especially for this who have to quarantine. It comes in handy! #csubted#CSUBTED4200@DrEddiesClass
@MaddernBryan @SarahCeja03 I very much enjoy using Amplify. It is an online program I use for math that outlines everything that is needed for teachers to provide an informative, hands-on, and engaging experience. #csubedte4200#csubted@DrEddiesClass
@Ststansberry A3) The source of technology that came to mind when asking this questions was Achieve 3000. It is an online reading program that is based on each student's reading level that aids in bettering their comprehension. #csubted#CSUBTED4200@DrEddiesClass
@CDpanchi@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns@Ststansberry Hi Daniel. I completely agree. Canvas can be quite complex to learn especially because so many families and students are accustomed to google classroom. I was worried my school district would have us use it in our classrooms at one point.
@Yulisamm18@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns@Ststansberry Hi Yulisa! Kahoot can be such a fun game to play with students! It can be difficult without the appropriate technology if students do not have a computer or cell phone. This is a great learning curve for teachers to keep these things mind. Thank you for sharing!
@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns A2) I had difficulty with the first couple of times I incorporated Jamboard into class activities. Students struggled with not moving others post-it notes and accidentally deleted others responses. It took some time before they learned. #csubted#csubedte4200@DrEddiesClass
@doctor2pi A1) A technology tool I consider very innovative is Padlet! It is a great resource for students to collaborate with others within their class and community members. They can teach minor lessons and share information. #csubted#csubedte4200@DrEddiesClass
@BaileyJaneR@doctor2pi@tom_karnes Hi Bailey! I also LOVE to use Jamboard in my classroom and the students really seem to enjoy it as well. I have never thought of using it myself to make room for additional information apart from my whiteboard! Great advice for all teachers! #csubted@DrEddiesClass
@moluvs2teach@WrightMath314@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 Hi Morgan, I definitely agree that there are many reasons for math anxiety. Growing up I experienced it because at a very young age I could not handle the pressure and it caused me to overthink and self-doubt
@Angel3Urbina@WrightMath314@joboaler@MrsGallardo1 Hi Angel, I never thought of it that way but I agree that the best alternative would be to guide students as opposed to determining it by speed to ensure they are doing the questions accurately.
@MaraGrimm8@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler Hi Maria, I love the idea to include the whole class. Especially because many students do not feel the pressure when other students are involved and it does not feel like a test.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler Students can be tested through games within the classroom either as a whole class game or a game between their group members.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler Students are being timed and tested determined by speed, especially because many students are not good at memorization due to diversity in learning. This can be seen by a variety of students when math fluency is dependent on the way students learned before common core.
@WrightMath314@MrsGallardo1@joboaler Number talks are important because they allow students to participate and practice several different strategies with their classmates and engage in discussions to express their ways of thinking.
