I've read dozens of books on advertising and copywriting.
These four are the only ones I keep going back to:
1. Ca$hvertising by Drew Eric Whitman
Nick Shackelford put me onto this years ago and it's still in my top 3. The Life Force 8 changed how I write hooks.
2. Breakthrough Advertising by Eugene M. Schwartz
Desire, awareness, sophistication.
3. Value Proposition Design by Osterwalder
4. The Wizard of Ads by Roy H. Williams
It's about what moves people, not tactics that expire in six months.
Above all, have some integrity.
If the dashboard looks great while the store loses money, explain why. Even if it gets you fired.
