@HMRCcustomers Can I get some advice pls re self employment tax return my son is trying to do which includes earnings earned abroad it’s come up in the calculation at end he has to pay tax on his earning from abroad because it takes him over the threshold but he has paid tax already abroad 1/2

@MoneySavingExp I think @BritishGas have been wonderful regular email updates, 5/10 £66 credited to account 5/10 smart meter reading taken bill produced taking off credit final amount will be paid from my account on 19/10 I pay for exactly what I used. Bills risen as expected but credit helps

He then will be coming home at Christmas for 3 weeks so needs 1 day only cover in Dec (as his US insurance won’t cover trip home) Most normal insurance quotes say trip needs to start and end in U.K. Any advice much appreciated thank you 2/2

@MartinSLewis Hi Martin can I ask do you know anything about one way travel insurance please? My son is going to study a Masters in US leaving 3/8 but US Uni insurance doesn’t start until 16/8 so he needs cover for travel and first 2 weeks there. 1/2
