I literally just replied to multiple people as well, but they don’t understand because they think working 85 hours a week, 2 or 3 jobs is being “rich”. The bottom line is the budget delivers sweet FA for business. You cannot get the country economically ahead by punishing business and the minions that make the wheels turn. I have come from nothing. You know how those people living in poverty get their government benefits? It’s called taxes. You know what drives taxes? Jobs, investment, opputrtunities, start ups. You know what happens when you keep smashing small business and SMEs? They move business elsewhere; the little local guy has to close. Jobs are lost, investments into the greater economy are lost. You know what happens then? Everyone is out on the street. Where and how does then the gov assist those in needs, welfare, disability support, pensioners???? (Which I agree, people need support and I’m not against it) Isn’t anyone left to tax, more are out of home, more relying on the system. This budget solves none of this, not one thing. And when it all rolls out, more people won’t have enough money for food, housing, basic day to day items… no “rich” as they say will invest in start ups and business and that means they just won’t bring business here- job losses. Idiots!!! Wake the fuck up!!

Ha ha and end to capitalism is probably a statement you are fond of right? Well, socialism doesn’t exist without capitalism… taxing the small businesses that employ the vast majority of us, is not the answer. Think you’re getting a tax break with the $250 rebate? Wrong; check the bracket creep first. There has to be a place in the middle and this budget is so far from the answer. You think younger generation are going to be able to afford homes, not under this budget because unless they curbed spending inflation will rise which means interest rates go up. How is that entry level uni grad ever going to be able to repay the loan when interest rates just keep going up. And working hard… like really dam hard to buy investments is not privilege, so perhaps get off your high horse before you assume that working 59 years to finally buy an investment that assists in retirement is called privileged.

Crypto, managed funds… the list goes on and on…and the comments on social media “good the rich deserve to be taxed”. Rich!! What about Mum and Pa Kettle who have their little corner shop, set up under a family trust, distributing their income to the beneficiaries, paying their tax…. Now taxed at 30%, which, is higher than the company tax rate itself!! Trust weren’t avoiding tax and I’m sick of hearing tax the rich etc etc.. god forbid anyone actually work, use structures that are legal and now be told your a burden and “avoiding tax” because you work and have used the system to its full advantage .
