I met a school counselor who was responsible for 300 students. One person overseeing 300 students. She said that it is impossible to meet, get to know, and help every student.

Addressing the teacher shortage shouldn't involve lowering criteria to be a teacher--it should involve supporting teachers, paying them, and providing the resources needed to best serve students.

@ONT_Dad Ignorant people need to spend a week in charge of a class. Yes, they should plan, teach, assess, mark, keep track of progress, be on time for duties, attend a staff meeting, run extracurricular activities, and maybe have enough time for the bathroom. (Doubt that).

@ColinDMello Why doesn’t he ask all Ontarians how they want services to be delivered. Only 43% of eligible Ontarians voted and he only received 17.7% of those votes. That hardly qualifies him to make decisions on behalf of all of Ontarians.

And he’s going to spend 10 Billion on a road that doesn’t save a great deal of time, hurting the environment, and making his rich friends richer. Billions that could make a difference in Autism programs, health care, Education, LTC facilities. Basically THE REAL PEOPLE.

Y'all who just voted for another Doug Ford term better not come to our ERs yelling at nurses for extra long wait times in the hallway while having a heart attack. You had the opportunity to vote for change but you chose four more years of sorrow. I'm so disappointed. A sad day!
