@rangersrita@b_lumbersquatch@Topps@ToppsDigital@ToppsNFTs@MLB@End_Fanatics@CardPurchaser Yeah, that’s where society is right now. It’s been proven.
Fine, let’s play logic:
Who do they compete with?
Why is the card market clearly favoring breakers?
Saying they aren’t a monopoly is interesting logic. Considering they use bots, you’re either a shill or an algorithm.
@Harlemhustle00@BabzOnTheMic Different opinions aren’t insane. Thinking that Fanatics is an honest, above-board operation is painfully insane. No one is chasing fame bro, we’re all tired of chasing rich peoples’ goal posts.
Overpriced garbage jerseys. Monopoly control. Declining quality and zero accountability.
Inspired by @BabzOnTheMic's movement exposing Fanatics for what it is.
Finishing what @GearGoneWrong failed to do after the Michael Rubin payoff.
This scam ends now. #EndFanatics
@Fanatics@fanatics is single handedly ruining being a fan of professional sports. Shit merchandise, shit service, turned collecting cards into gambling, stupid sports book, forced players not to sign for fans at events… I hope you fold so honesty and integrity can rise in your place.
@upnext4brewers@BallParkBuzz The Brewers didn’t resign him, Woodruff accepted their QO. The Brewers felt risking $22M for future draft compensation was a worthwhile play, not that Woodruff was their guy at $22M. Kinda speaks more to why owners should spend more when teams gamble that much $ for a pick.
My problem with baseball is:
The BS offers the Tigers give Skubal.
The Astros didn't re-sign four star players that came up through the farm system.
The Mariners repeatedly not spending money while having a young core and turning a profit.
The fucking Boston Red Sox salary-dumping Mookie Betts.
The most money the Pirates have spent on a free agent for multi-year free agent is Ryan O’hearn. (2 years, 29 million)
The A's moving from Oakland and trading away Matt Chapman , Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, etc.
Could go on and on.
The problem with baseball is the owners.
Not the Dodgers.
@MrLouie931 The numbers have a place if they’re explained and utilized correctly. Unfortunately, the metrics got to kids faster than the teachers did. The art of “feel” seems to be fading, or at least being introduced too late to kids. Keep loving em both man, the right way will find its way
@MrLouie931@JoeOrrico99 I see where you’re coming from, was there at the time. Not defending either way, simply trying to understand the, still existing, hate. Personal opinion: the divide between old school and data driven views is hurting the amateur and youth levels. I’m just trying to find a bridge
@MrLouie931@JoeOrrico99 Right, I know what it measures. It loosely existed in the mid 2000’s and really wasn’t widely known until after Amaro was making decisions. Hence, why the mockery?
@aprilcali84@iansaunders22 Also didn’t have a real chance to be in this spot to start the year. Losing sucks, but beating expectations is oddly satisfying. For the first time in a long time, next season is exciting.
@jnorthclt@CarolinaProd He was a prime candidate three years ago. His time in Charlotte showed a lot and the shine is gone. He has done great things, but there are glaring red flags. He missed his chance to cash in out of Denver, I hope he gets another.
@DariusJButler It should be talked about. No reason to give ground when a takeaway drives the final nail. Still happy with where this team is at, but these are the details that need to be improved to take a crown going forward.
