@anon_koala Most pictures I've seen of bogtrotters in the bog (1930s 1940s) have had high boots likely water proof, overalls or some form of suspended pants tucked into boots, long sleeves to protect from insect bites, and a 360 brimmed hat of varying style.
Only a couple of pics to go off.
@anon_koala Late to the party, but most commonly swamp folk/people. If you want to get a little old fashion then bogtrotter works too.
We swamp folk ain't fancy, we title it as it is.
@GeneralAndrews Queues were quick. It keeps the flow of the game relatively similar, though does use a time limit for turns, sometimes you have to snap tough decisions before they are fully thought out.
"The Butcher's Circus" DLC for Darkest Dungeon ended up significantly better than I was anticipating it would be. It actually adds a fairly compelling game mode. Although I probably wouldn't take it too seriously, it's pretty meme-tacular. 1
There was also a huge amount of variety in team comps, and they all had obviously strong, and weak match ups which kept things interesting. Some of this will likely die out if a meta sets in though. Fin
Some of the mechanical changes for skills and flow of gameplay felt pretty damn good, too. They also finally did what I've been begging for ages and made the Crusader a competitive front row stress healer (too bad it's only in PvP.) 🤤 2
After a long discussion with unnamed people, I have reaffirmed my belief that horror games should never fully reveal their monster.
The second they take imagination out of the equation, they take out that more primal, psychological fear.
@ChadCYates Probably both, nostalgia of good times & youth. It's also a timeless style, though much of today's pixel art is worlds beyond the old stuff. A style that can evolve with us.
Personally, I love the fact that such a basic building block can end up so transcendent and complex.
New trinkets to refine your deadly PVP party comps - which will you choose? The Butcher’s Circus launches THIS THURSDAY, May 28th! Wish list it here: https://t.co/SHKqZiqbML
I have a solid strategy for Gears Tactics, 100% success so far.
Feed hard for most of the map, then somehow miraculously clutch it in the 11th hour and get everyone home alive (limbs not guaranteed.)
More Gears tomorrow.
I'm forming a cooking safety council for my kitchen.
It will consist of a picture of Julia Child, my dog, and 2 frogs that sit outside of the kitchen window getting busy.
This can only end in success.
The devs revisited the timing of the Worm in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Looks like I can happily give the game a solid recommendation now. Feels good
I've had to run some 24 and 30 for stuff lately. It's not a great feeling when you're used to a more modern 120+.
Feels like time has slowed down for your eyes, and it's very distracting.
The prices they want for these things, they damn well better meet modern standards.
I see 60fps trending...
In honor of TB and his years of advocacy - if PS5 and Xbox Series X aren't running games at 60fps there is no reason to buy a new console.
Shameful there's even a discussion that games might release in 30 for a console, yet will do 60 on PC these days
