@Israellycool@AustinFranco123@EinhornGabe Career highlight is going to be “you’re a handsome one” while turning tricks at some highway gas station popular with long haul truckers in Nebraska
@Cornell@EinhornGabe The workforce you train for jobs in corporate America is a massive part of your reputation. You still have time in this case to make it clear that this individual doesn’t reflect your student body and is now no longer a part of it
Kicked off @techweek_ today with a great conversation with @dhaber at City Hall about New York’s future as a global hub for tech and AI.
New York has always been a city that builds. To stay competitive, we need to invest in talent, support entrepreneurs, strengthen public-private partnerships, and ensure the next generation of great companies is built right here in New York City.
NY City Council Speaker Julie Menin & a16z’s @dhaber kicked off NY Tech Week at City Hall today. The Speaker proposed a local Y Combinator, praised Cornell Tech & said NY officials shouldn’t use rhetoric that pushes businesses away. Background: the mayor’s spat w/ Ken Griffin
Today marks the 24th anniversary of the end of the heroic rescue and recovery operations at Ground Zero.
I was honored to be at the @Sept11Memorial to address members from so many of the union trades that worked on the Pile and who are the backbone of this city.
We have a solemn obligation to remember the too many lives lost from 9/11 health effects in the aftermath and to pledge to continue to support those who suffer.
New York City is home to some of the greatest artists in the world. If we want them to stay in NYC, we need to support them by advocating for funding for the arts and for affordable housing. @independent_hq is one of the world’s biggest art fairs and it was a joy to spend some time with them last week.
I remember well May 1, 2011 and what a blessing it was that in the months before the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the families could gather at the new @Sept11Memorial with at least some peace. Now, just a few months before the 25th anniversary let’s remember the brave operators who got this done for America #OperationNeptuneSpear @USNavy
With the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks a few short months away, it was a profound privilege to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to the 9/11 Memorial. As he said in his address to Congress yesterday: "I believe, with all my heart, that the essence of our two nations is a generosity of spirit and a duty to foster compassion, to promote peace, to deepen mutual understanding and to value all people, of all faiths, and of none." Thank you, King Charles, for taking the time to visit this timeless memorial. I believe it with all my heart, too.
I’m grateful that President Trump and attendees at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner are safe, and that the Secret Service agent who was shot has been released from the hospital.
Thankful for the swift, decisive response by law enforcement to subdue the suspect and protect lives.
I'm wishing Israeli New Yorkers and all those celebrating here and abroad a happy Yom Ha’atzmaut!
Today we recognize Israel’s independence and affirm New York’s special bond with the Israeli people as the city that is home to the world’s second largest Jewish population.
While the matches are in New Jersey, New York will host FIFA fans and with them comes a multibillion-dollar economic opportunity we cannot afford to miss. So why are we still not ready?
I break it down in my first @CrainsNewYork op-ed: https://t.co/zWVSEZT5KQ
Having negotiated 8 on time balanced budgets, I know that transparency and accuracy are critically important! I have reviewed @JulieMenin ‘s budget proposals & they do NOT slash services! They find redundancies & savings!
The Mamdani administration should drop its CITYFHEPS litigation and negotiate on the framework for settlement we've offered that's both fiscally responsible and also ensures our city's most vulnerable residents get housed.
Thank you @TechNYC for hosting me this morning for a thoughtful conversation on technology, innovation, and the future of our city.
Looking forward to continuing our work together to modernize government and improve the lives of New Yorkers.
We are closely monitoring the disturbing reports from Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Any attack targeting a house of worship is abhorrent. The horrific rise in antisemitism across our country must stop.
I am in touch with the NYPD, which is maintaining heightened security at synagogues across New York City. We will remain vigilant and stand firmly with our Jewish communities against blatant and dangerous antisemitism.
