700+ NYC funding rounds, all in one place. 💰🗽
We track NYC funding announcements every day in our newsletter, and now we’ve put all of them from the past year into one searchable, sortable website.
If you’re fundraising, job searching, or just keeping tabs on the ecosystem, it’s a useful way to see:
✅ Who’s writing checks in NYC
✅ How much is being raised

It’s our third year of tracking AI in New York with @Accenture, and there’s a lot to talk about!
Ahead of today’s Crain’s Tech Summit, we’re sharing a first look at our latest research in @CrainsNewYork.
A few findings that stand out:
• NYC job postings seeking AI skills nearly tripled to more than 55,000
• Nearly 80% of executives surveyed expect entry-level hiring to grow or hold steady
• 86% of executives believe AI will create more economic opportunity in NYC than it eliminates
There’s still plenty to learn about AI. But three years into this research, we see more and more reasons to be excited about New York’s future.

$45M Series A for @HyphenateAI and the company was only founded in 2024! 🚀
Autonomous finance built in the finance capital of the world just makes sense. Congrats to founders Ramnandan Krishnamurthy, Ajay Krishna Amudan, & the Hyphenate team.
Who's next from NYC fintech x AI?
Led by @nexusvp, with participation from @BCapitalGroup and returning investors @FoundationCap, @boldcap and Gaia Ventures, this round brings our total funding to $54M.
Finance teams carry a long list of work because somebody has to do it.
Hyphenate’s self-learning agents take responsibility for that work across the systems companies already run, with evidence behind every action and finance teams involved where judgment matters.
The results are already building:
→ 86x revenue growth
→ 11x customer growth in 12 months, including six public companies
→ 40% of customers expanding within their first year
This funding will help us take our agents deeper across the finance function and into strategic finance, giving teams more capacity for the decisions that move their businesses forward.
Thank you to our customers, team and investors for building this with us.

Congrats to @TheKnotWW on opening its new headquarters in NYC!
Yesterday, Tech:NYC President & CEO @juliepsamuels joined TKWW CEO (and Tech:NYC board member!) Raina Moskowitz to cut the ribbon and celebrate helping businesses grow in New York.
Onward!
Keeping kids safe online should not mean cutting them off from tools that help them learn and prepare for careers.
The bill @GovKathyHochul signed could restrict access to tutoring, homework help, coding assistants, and critical career platforms, while putting more children’s data at risk. Its vague language also raises serious First Amendment concerns.

Madison Avenue made NYC the capital of advertising. Now a new generation of NYC founders is rethinking how brands reach people.
We caught up with @KaitfromBrij of @brijforbrands, @sarahganz_ and @reganplek of @rediemco, and @OlallaLevi of WHYL for our adtech Companies to Watch: https://t.co/qfodmawXyK
Getting someone to say yes to the job gets a lot of attention. What happens on Monday morning deserves just as much. Love seeing @bdistel and @trywindmill tackle this!
Growing companies think their biggest problem is hiring, but they are wrong. It’s only half the story.
In reality even the best candidates will fail if they are not set up for success from the start.
I experienced this at @yext across a team of 2,500, and today, with the pull of our growing customer base, Windmill is launching the system I always wanted
An agentic onboarding system to give every new hire the best chance of being successful as quickly as possible.
@trywindmill now has over 250 customers and many of them growing faster than any companies before in human history. Our customers feel this pain viscerally. You spend millions on recruiting and closing candidates only for them to show up to an onboarding based off a couple slides and a Notion doc.
Onboarding is one of the most important things a company does. It’s a new hire’s introduction to the company culture and how it runs. And in today’s rapidly changing world, it’s harder than it’s ever been before.
Effective onboarding isn't about teaching people everything. It's about getting them to real contribution as fast as possible, with clear goals, regular feedback, and a manager who stays in the loop.
Windmill puts an AI agent in charge of making that happen for every new hire, and holds everyone accountable along the way.
We’re currently live with amazing customers like @Etched (among others) and it’s incredible to see the results. Every one of our customers I’ve shared this with has raised their hands and we’re including it as part of their subscription.
If this is something your team struggles with, we’d love to show you the system that’s helped customers around the globe onboard and ramp their teams 3x faster.
Capped off our board meeting today with a toast to 10 years of Tech:NYC on the beautiful @alley_corp roof!🥂
Thanks to @MarkLevineNYC for helping us celebrate, and to @kevinryan & @alley_corp for hosting.
Here’s to the next 10 years!
Nevis, a New York-based startup building #AIagents for wealth management firms, says it has raised a $70 million Series B led by EQT Ventures, bringing its total funding to $110 million two years after it was founded.
The Charles Schwab Corporation and QuantumLight, the fund of Revolut founder and CEO Nik Storonsky, joined as new strategic investors, and existing backers Sequoia Capital, ICONIQ and Ribbit Capital expanded their commitments, the company said. Carolina Brochado, partner and head of EQT Ventures, will join the #Nevis board. The company's announcement did not include a valuation.
Nevis said its platform brings together CRM, meeting intelligence, financial planning and custodial workflows, with AI agents that handle operational work end to end. It said assets on the platform grew from $50 billion to $700 billion in 2026 and revenue grew more than 25 times, without disclosing absolute revenue, and that its agents have completed more than 100,000 operational tasks. Customers include Focus Financial Partners, IEQ Capital and United Capital. Nevis, founded by former Revolut executives Mark Swan, Philipp Burda and Ivan Chalov, said it will use the funding to expand agent capabilities, deepen integrations and grow its product and go-to-market teams.
"AI should empower financial advisors, not replace them," wrote Mark Swan, Nevis' chief executive, in a blog post announcing the round.
Why it matters: Swan wrote that "the true potential of AI lies in agents that execute complex workflows end-to-end, not simply assist with individual tasks."

-*- ATTENTION NYC FOUNDERS -*-
“Thanks, you made me look forward to failing!”
Best feedback I’ve ever gotten on a talk.
Every year for 10+ years, I give the "Failure" Keynote to the @startlead NYC cohort. I told them about losing a million dollars and filing for Chapter 7 in my early twenties, my first startup.
One fellow wrote back: “If you project just strength to your team, the moment you show vulnerability, they leave.”
That’s the whole job.
The founders in the SLP room aren’t there to take notes. They’re building. They ask what went wrong and what you’d do differently. You can’t find that anywhere else.
SLP is recruiting the Class of 2027 now. Info session is TOMORROW Tuesday, Oct 27.

LH Partner @isabellevop spoke with @TechNYC about her front-row seat to the New York tech ecosystem's growth over her years as an investor and operator.
Isabelle covered the following, among other topics:
- Why some of the biggest companies of the next 5 years will look more like services businesses than software companies
- How AI enables small teams to deliver full business outcomes, not just sell tools
- How NYC’s density of enterprise buyers creates an unfair advantage for startups
- And, what sets non-consensus founders apart in pitches
