@jk_rowling It’s that whole ‘death of the author’ literary theory. I never agreed with it, I always believed to ignore the author’s intent was to do them a huge disservice. It’s incredibly arrogant to believe you know the meaning behind an author’s work better than the author themselves.

The RF is funded by the sovereign grant which is 15-25% of the income of estates owned by the crown. The other 75-85% goes to the treasury. Taxpayers don’t fund them.

@jon_hill84 @NeuroCandies Apparently greyhounds don’t need as much as you’d expect. I knew a girl at uni whose parents got one after she left to start her degree. It was an ex racer, failed at racing because it could only turn right while the track went left. Used to do laps of the garden the wrong way.
