To get numbers like these it would require the entire Twin Cities, upzoning wasn’t fully implemented until like 2020, and nobody in the Minnesota is referring to a permit as a “Dwelling Consent”. This is a chart of somewhere in Australia or New Zealand
@brianonhere@spiroferrer And there’s even hidden fees on top of asking rents! I’m much happier in my Craigslist segment of the market than the Zillow segment that seems to be supplying all this data. If only there was a public page of real prices to promote “competition” in the market, but, alas
@brianonhere The only apartments renting here for <$1400 are new builds offering 2+ months free at signing for this exact reason. Tracks with the 15% “drop” in rents and doesn’t exactly make for a stable housing situation when everyone’s rent jumps back up 15%+ after 1 year.
