@zemotion Without stylization or transformation, the painter contributes little- not even the concept!
Meanwhile, you chose the model, the costume, the lighting, the pose, the lens, etc.
To any true artist, it is clear that the concept is your creation.
Unfortunately, people are ignorant
@zemotion It’s ironic that a number of comments praise that “he actually painted something.” Clearly, they are not artists themselves. If they were, they’d know that copying (directly) from reference is the *easiest* way to paint.
The painter becomes merely a glorified copy-machine.
@EdonGuraziu@boltondynamics I think there are boundary conditions. For example, a chef can feel proud of a home-made pizza even if he didn’t make the dough, but no one is going to be proud of putting a DiGiorno in the oven
@eyedesyn First, artists needed to make “content” to improve their reach. Now, they’ll need to make content just to prove they made the work!
I’ve actually been seeing more people trying to pass off Ai generations as their own 3D renders, which has been disheartening
@PeterTarka@wacom There’s a known bug with the Huion tablet’s use of the Wintab.dll driver that causes Redshift to crash nearly 100% of the time.
I’ve spoken with Maxon support- they haven’t been able to fix it since it doesn’t happen on every system (but when it does, it happens every time)
@boltondynamics Definitely would love to see more on the modeling operations to get to this level of detail. Surely there are techniques that make it faster
