Texas wandered in the wilderness for over a decade. No consistency, couldn't beat Oklahoma, couldn't defend their home field and couldn't beat good teams.
Steve Sarkisian finally changed that. #HookEm
@jbgibson00@robertreid_@JoshPateCFB Dry nice posting an image that is 100% irrelevant to this season where last time I checked, we won on the field. Where it matters LMFAO
@jbgibson00@robertreid_@JoshPateCFB I believe the better team wouldnāt waste away a 20 point lead? After essentially being handed 10 of those points.
(1) I don't think protestors should attempt to interfere with immigration agents.
(2) I think every American has the right to carry a gun.
(3) I think you, when engaging in obstruction with federal agents, can get hurt. When armed, things can go wrong.
(4) I think we actually don't know as much about this situation as we presume because both sides are focused more on telling narratives than getting to the facts of what actually happened.
(5) I think Tim Walz and Jacob Frey have made the situation far worse and destabilized by amping up white progressives and refusing to assist immigration agents.
(6) I think Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino have made the situation far worse by being unrestrained in how they proceed, not prioritizing the criminals, gang members, and more seriously problematic illegals, and not thinking of the public relations fall out should things like what are happening actually happen.
(7) I think Trump supporters who want an unrestrained and unmeasured deportation response are playing into the hands of progressives' PR and alienating normal voters.
(8) I think Trump cannot back down from deportations due to mob violence because that will only encourage more mobs and violence to stop other polices the left does not want.
(9) I think every illegal should be deported. I think prioritizing the worst ones who are criminals, gang members, drug dealers, etc. is a smart strategy and exposes the Left's sanctuary policies as unreasonable.
Goodbye Football.
Well, damn. Crazy to say itās been 2+ years since the last time I stepped on a football field. I spent that time first trying to function like a healthy human being again⦠then fighting my way back to playing the greatest sport at a high level.
As I sit here writing thisāwith tears rolling down my faceāIām feeling it all. Tears of pain, sadness, the sting of not becoming the player I wanted to be. I wonder why. But who am I to question what God meant for me to be? Iāve come to understand thereās a timing for everything. I understand some chapters are supposed to have rough endings. Nevertheless, we flip the pageāand the story still continues, and it only gets better.
This isnāt a sorrow post, haha. Because honestly, what Iām feeling most is joy. Pure joy. Gratitude. This game has meant everything to me. Itās the only thing Iāve ever known for 20+ years.
I gave this shit everythingāAND then someājust like countless others do. And it shaped me into who I am today. I learned what it means to strive with others toward a goal, to stand for something far bigger than myself while the opposing side does everything it can to hold you back. I learned confidence, humility, love, brotherhood, and community. I learned how to overcome anything and everything that comes with adversity. Iāve made game-winning plays, and Iāve given up game-winning touchdowns. Those moments feel like opposite ends of the earth, but both of them built me. So even though itās aākids gameā, to me itās moreāit simulates the journey of life.
Iām beyond grateful for every step: to big-time high school ball, to playing at the GREATEST university of all, and then living the dream of playing in the NFL. Although, my goal was never just to āmake it.ā I wanted to take over. I wanted to have impact. But, even if it didnāt end the way I pictured, Iām truly blessed that God gave me the vision, the doors, the people, and the memories.
To the people and homies who watched me grow, supported me, and held me to a standard on and off the fieldāthank you. To my brothers in the locker room who bled, worked, laughed, and suffered with meāthank you. To all the coaches and staff who poured into me, and to fans who showed love through the highs and lowsāthank you. Yāall are part of my story forever. I hope I inspired some, helped some, and created memories that last a lifetime.. like the ones you all gave me. If I did that, I did something right.
There were days the rehab hurt more than the hits. Days I questioned if I was chasing ghosts. Days I felt like the only one in the world who understood what my body and mind were going through. But day after day, I got up anyway. That discipline changed me. It taught me to keep showing up even when it seems the thing you love most is working against you, when thereās no crowd, when itās just you, your thoughts, and your why. Thatās a gift Iām carrying out of this game.
I wonāt pretend I donāt feel the what-ifs. I do. I wonāt pretend I donāt feel some resentment toward the injuries or the timing. I do. But I also wonāt pretend I donāt feel Godās hand all over this. Some prayers are answered in ways you donāt recognize at first. Sometimes the lesson is the answer. Sometimes the ending that doesnāt look āgoodā is exactly the one that sets up the next chapter.
So to the game Iāll forever love and cherishāthank you for the euphoria, the highest of highs, the tough lessons that didnāt feel like lessons at the time, and the perspective I couldnāt have learned any other way. Thank you for the brotherhood. Thank you for the standard. Thank you for the purpose.
So with that Goodbye⦠to the jersey. But not to the work. Not the standard. Not the love.
As this new chapter starts, the target doesnāt change, just the scope.
With much love,
āCaden
They just shot Charlie Kirk.
A married young man and father, who stands on college campuses and encourages young people to get married, have children, stop abortion, and simply live a life for God.
Iām praying that he survives.
And Iām praying that this country rises up and ends this.
