@EdLdshpMSUM A5 - The one thing I would want to improve on in the mentoring process is to make it more accessible and consistent across the district. #ED635
@EdLdshpMSUM A4 - I worked with a first year teacher as an instructional coach and she was completely open to the coaching experience and it was a great experience to work through observations, reflections, goal-setting etc with her and to watch the strong teacher she has become. #ED635
@EdLdshpMSUM A3 - I believe the most effective part of mentoring is the reflection piece. After observations or conversations to reflect and adjust as you plan to move forward. #ED635
@EdLdshpMSUM Q2 - I feel that it is very important to make the new employee feel welcome and a part of the team. To help them adjust to the culture of your school. #ed635
@EdLdshpMSUM I see induction for new teachers or first year teachers in a new position. I feel mentoring is an on-going process of growing and learning throughout your career. #ed635
When a student struggles with reading, we find out why & teach them.
When a student struggles with math, we find out why & teach them.
When a student struggles with their behavior, we need to find out why & teach them... not just punish.

If you want to build a winning team, you must value all team members for who they are, not just what they do.
Every person, no matter how successful, wants to be appreciated, respected, and valued. Everyone wants to feel cared about. Everyone, ultimately, wants to be loved.
