I remember realizing a few years ago, after getting so mad myself for my eating habits, that I was most comfortable when I was uncomfortably full. It made no sense, but that light bulb has helped me.

@TheCulturalHall I was always an aspirational journal writer, always planning on starting next week. Then my wife suggested the family write together for 15 minutes on Sundays. We have been going strong for 4 years or so. It was setting a manageable time that helped.

@PogiJones @EricDSnider Thanks for commenting. I still remember waking up in my room at Moon Apartments with the song almost complete in my head. I walked to work at the BYU bookstore, where I was a cashier, and wrote it down on register tape so I wouldn’t forget it.

@EricDSnider I too will be at the game tonight with my middle child. It will be his first time seeing a sports game there. I won the tickets from a sports radio program. Do not tell them the main reason we are going is my oldest child plays the tuba in the marching band and we want to see him

@EricDSnider I find it interesting that after a short read of this monstrosity I can see how almost all the lines could be adjusted to the meter with little effort. The sentiment would still be ridiculous but at least it would scan.
