Trump's purpose was to protect the wealth & power of the neoliberal order in an age of populist anger.
It's now clear that his hyper-hubris & insatiable drive for self-enrichment mean he is no longer serving the interests of the economic elites who made him into a politician.
It would be in keeping with Nigel Farage's distain for democratic processes of accountability & his utter contempt for the electorate in Clacton if his political career was ended by a man wearing a bin on his head.
Please let it happen.

Any chance the other parties could put their differences aside for a few weeks, organise an agreed candidate to get rid of this vile little man?
#Faragebung
@Nigel_Farage Just to be clear, when Nig says "the people" he means the "Billionaire class who want to destroy what's left of the public sector & blame the resulting mass poverty on brown people in dinghies".
He DOES NOT mean the ordinary working people.
Just in case there was anyone left who still thinks FIFA isn't a bought-and-paid-for, corrupt organisation.
This is truly pitiful.

'I asked for a review.'
Donald Trump spoke about FIFA's decision to reverse Folarin Balogun's one-game ban after the USA forward received a red card.

This transparent attempt to lean in to the Reform vote will obviously fail as an electoral strategy.
Who is advising Mahmood? Instead of chasing voters who have long since abandoned their humanity, Mahmood would do better consolidating the progressive vote.
The cost of asylum accommodation on the British taxpayer is too high.
Once people can contribute and repay the generosity of the British people, we expect them to do so.
@CuriosityonX The heatwave statistics are truly scary & remind us of the importance of facing down right-wing populism. Its anti-net zero irrationalism is not just lazy anti-science drivel. It is dangerous politics that must be defeated at all costs.
Thanks to Darren Jones for reminding us who he really serves. Hint - it's not the voters.
Our democracy is a façade. When deciding on whether to run, not a thought is given to actual voters. It's all about the bond markets.
The modern "Labour" party in all its ugliness.
Keir Starmer went out of his way to emphasise how Labour under his leadership regained its sense of decency on the world stage..
..which apparently includes defending the right of Israel to starve civilian populations to death.
And some people think our politics *isn't* broken,
10 years ago today the UK became the first nation in history to impose economic sanctions on *itself*.
Until this country is ready to accept this, the economic and political damage that this idiotic decision has done cannot be repaired.

Northern Ireland braces itself for another night of violent protests to demand protection of women & girls.
With the conviction for child rape and sexual abuse of 2 children of *checks notes*....Jeffrey Donaldson....
Oh wait....never mind. As you were.
Starmer's been roasted. Who knew you needed an actual vision and a coherent policy platform to be Prime Minister?
Will Andy Burnham tackle the crises crippling the UK? Almost certainly not. He's just Starmer with a bit more charisma.
