At a dealership now overhearing a receptionist share someone else’s credentials over the phone in front of customers. Best part’s the password. It’s barely better than “password” and equally guessable.

I might do this so I can keep my development environment all in 1 machine. Still can’t get rid of the gaming desktop though. But the XPS is a solid product line, same as my Surface Pro 4.
Took the plunge, Twitter fam. I purchased the Dell XPS 15. My goal- to replace my desktop and my work laptop with one device to rule them all. My desire - to only have 1 dev environment to manage. From here, I'm going to select an external GPU enclosureto keep home. #wishmeluck
@gavination2 @gwalters69 Best of luck! I tried doing that with my Surface 4 Pro, but needed a dedicated gaming desktop. And with all it’s power, ended up doing most VM work on the desktop. Easier/cheaper to add RAM than a laptop. Now my work is split between the 2.
A motorcycle just drove past my house. I can hear the call of my people. And this is why I haven’t winterized my bike yet. That, and a stubbornness against accepting that riding season is over.
Technologically, it’s amazing. But, I’ll never give up control over these devices at the network management level. Better to have exfiltration firewalling, can’t do anything if it has its own cell service.
FYI: As IoT advances, embedded cellular models on special commercial data plans are increasingly common. Days of needing an expensive cellular plan are long gone. These are negotiated in bulk by the manufacturer and hardwired. They stay on and ping towers for activation forever.
The Linux Left, also known as the Developers, want to get rid of firewalls, who do a fantastic job, and want Open Data. JSON would be rampant and uncontrollable!

It's depressing how many people think that if you did nothing wrong then you're at no risk of any legal troubles. What fantasy perfect universe are you from? And that's coming from someone in a low risk demographic.
"Data is not truth." We tend to assume that data can't be biased, but data is always created, generated, collected, captured, and extended by humans—so we need to be aware. Read more about our 4 principles for ethics in data and AI: https://t.co/zZ4gPGEXXn
@AaronBertrand I’ve always released my work under CC, especially back in Flickr’s heyday, and some of it got used by others. Now those photos will be gone.
