I help financial advisors work less & make more money through software & automation. Value investor, maker, multiple exits. Tried retiring - it bored me.
Good management weighs the options. If they have excess cash that they can’t deploy at high returns, then they should either distribute it if the stock price is fair or high, or buy back stock if it’s undervalued and the expected long term return is higher than shareholders could expect elsewhere.
But if they routinely expect to generate tons of cash they won’t be able to redeploy, a regular periodic dividend is a way to reward long-term shareholders.

@bankertobuilder This is exactly why spray foam expands - seals all those gaps. Inspector is obviously just trying to shake the builder for a kickback.
3.5 million pages of flight logs, emails, photos…and nobody will face the music. The political class will keep getting richer, spending our money, and looking out for themselves. Politicians shouldn’t be powerful - they should be servants of the people. 99% of them need to go.

@greiser Transfer it before that date or the bank/brokerage will eventually turn it over to the state’s unclaimed property division. And they’ll eventually liquidate and keep it. So yeah - don’t let this happen.
@raroque Check out the USFDA API. You can grab all sorts of food items - including restaurants and brand names - and store them in your database immediately rather than waiting for someone to search for a new item. Zero cost, then your AI bill is just to handle edge cases.
