The Gold Miners Bullish Index just hit 3.7 out of 100. Let that sink in.
This means over 96% of the gold mining sector is flashing red. This isn't just a dip; this is what absolute, textbook capitulation looks like.
Here is the reality of the market right now:
-The Trap: Retail investors couldn't handle the recent volatility and chop. They just panic-sold their mining stocks at the exact bottom.
-The Divergence: While paper mining stocks are priced as if gold is crashing to zero, the physical metal is holding strong and COMEX vaults are being drained dry.
• The Opportunity: The rubber band between physical gold prices and miner valuations has never been stretched this far.
This historic collapse in sentiment is not a warning sign—it’s the ultimate contrarian buy signal. Blood is officially in the streets. While the crowd is running away, smart money is quietly accumulating the exact shares retail just dumped at a massive discount.
Buy the fear. Sit on your hands. Wait for the rubber band to snap back.

Cardano Scales by Measuring First

The Cardano Leios team has released a mempool visualiser, and it is a solid piece of work.

As throughput increases, the mempool becomes critical infrastructure. Transaction propagation, ordering behaviour, and fragmentation effects start to matter. This visualiser sits alongside the Leios simulation framework and renders trace data so researchers can replay scenarios, inspect how mempool state evolves across nodes, and study behaviour under different network and protocol conditions.

This is about understanding system behaviour before it reaches users. Instrumenting the protocol, observing edge cases early, and using evidence to guide design decisions as Leios progresses toward a high throughput Cardano. This has long been Cardano’s approach.

Credit to the Leios team again. Open, inspectable tooling like this is exactly what responsible scaling looks like, and it gives the community real visibility into how the protocol is being developed.

I included a demo video for those interested.

Cardano's Ouroboros Leios is steadily progressing towards implementation. ⚡️

Simulation results showed sustained throughput capacity ~300 TxkB/s.

This translates to 200 TPS for average TXs and 1,000 TPS for small TXs.

Really looking forward to Leios on mainnet!

[ATLAS | Stablecoin Perps DEX @ATLAS_DEFI_]

Everyone Holds ADA. Everyone Can Participate.

Atlas solves Cardano’s liquidity problem by introducing a unified, privacy-enabled yield marketplace across Cardano and Midnight.

Instead of yield staying locked, idle, or inaccessible, Atlas turns it into liquid, tradable value.

We start with ADA yield splitting — because everyone holds ADA and everyone can participate.

From there, we expand.

Atlas is not for a niche audience.
Atlas is for everyone.

[Cardano YOD₳ @JaromirTesar]

Cardano's DeFi ecosystem lacks essential infrastructure for success, including a strong stablecoin with top CEX listings, deep liquidity, and stronger incentives for Liquidity Providers (LPs).

The Cardano ecosystem faces this problem:

Low liquidity (even small trades shift price a lot) → High slippage → Small number of trades → Low volume and fees → Low rewards for liquidity providers → No reason to stay

Expanding stablecoin liquidity could significantly improve the ecosystem.

Stablecoins are crucial for deeper liquidity pools like ADA/USDM or ADA/DJED.

Larger pools minimize price impact per trade, reducing slippage, which makes trading more attractive.

Lower slippage is a key factor in attracting more traders to Cardano. Especially for pairs like BTC/USDA and in the future for RWAs/stables.

An increase in traders brings higher trading volume and more fees, which, in turn, drives the creation of new trading pairs, improving DEX usability.

More fees mean higher rewards for developers and teams, covering operational costs and funding further development.

Most importantly, liquidity providers receive higher rewards.

Liquidity providers play a critical role because they supply capital and seek the highest yield opportunities.

Some trading pairs involve impermanent loss (IL), which LPs must manage.

High rewards compensate for impermanent loss, and sustaining high rewards requires consistent trading volume.

Owners of large capital are rational actors. They deploy capital where it earns the best risk-adjusted yield.

Being a liquidity provider must be profitable — or at least competitive with other passive options.

We need the cycle works as follows:

Deeper liquidity → Lower slippage → More trades → Higher trading volume and fees → Stronger incentives for LPs and teams → Mitigating impermanent loss → Repeat

For Cardano's DeFi ecosystem to thrive, barriers to growth must be removed, primarily slippage and low LP incentives.

Therefore, I think that in addition to minting stablecoins, liquidity providers should also be incentivized by ADA from Cardano Treasury.

When set up correctly, this can give us higher liquidity at lower costs.

More users are the key to success. Deeper liquidity may attract them.

Liquidity brings usability, and users drive value.

However, injecting stablecoins into the ecosystem alone won't automatically attract users.

Other barriers include high transaction fees and limited scalability.

Second-layer solutions pose stiff competition in terms of efficiency. Wallets and user experience are also important.

Cardano could significantly improve scalability within a year, whether through L1 (Leios) or L2s (Midgard, Hydra, ZK Rollups).

Even with cheaper and more scalable DeFi services, stablecoin liquidity remains essential.

Treasury funds should support not just developers but also liquidity expansion.

Building a successful DeFi ecosystem in a competitive landscape is challenging.

Some blockchain projects actively inject liquidity into DeFi because they understand that high fees will ultimately benefit everyone once adoption takes off.

A strong network effect is a driver for the growth of native coins. And as we all know, even if the stats are faked, it works.

Success depends on the number of satisfied users. Sometimes it is necessary to invest in your future users.

Just like startups raise VC money to grow their user base before they’re profitable, DeFi ecosystems bootstrap growth through Treasury investments.

Cardano cannot afford to wait indefinitely for organic growth.

The Cardano community itself can act as a liquidity provider, allowing yields to flow back into the Treasury.

Let's not hesitate to use Treasury for our success.
