@texasbankersCEO@texasbankers@RepRWilliams You are so right, Chris. Regulatory overreach is very real. The courts have recognized it. Now Congress has, too. It’s time for the agencies to be held accountable.
I was honored to help present Leonard Wolfe, United Bank & Trust with ABA’s Bruning Award recognizing a lifetime of achievement as an Ag/Rural Banker. Congrats Leonard!!
Passing SAFE puts the cannabis industry into the financial system where cash can be tracked, and helps cut down violent cash related crime. Tell your senators to vote YES on SAFE!

The ABA is a $1.6 million dollar tax-exempt organization and this is our yearly 990 filing to ensure that we are following our mission and don’t have frivolous expenses. Why don’t Credit Unions (also tax exempt and much larger) have to do the same??! @ArkBankers
MBA General Counsel/Director of Government Relations, Tess Rice, comments on two packages of legislation that the MBA lobbied for and were passed this session.

Brooks Koepka talked about how, during practice rounds, he stands in the middle of a green and looks back at the hole to see how to play it.
Many architects will tell you the same, that the best way to study a golf course is to walk it backwards, green-to-tee

The Minnesota Bankers Association is pleased to support this bill on behalf of our state’s rural communities. Thank you for your leadership, @RepFeenstra and @wileynickel.
Rising interest rates & inflation have increased costs for our farmers & prevented families in rural America from securing a mortgage.
I’m proud to work w/ @RepWileyNickel to ensure our families & producers have access to the capital they need to thrive.

Tonight, the Minnesota House and Senate passed two bills that will make Minnesota a less competitive place for talent and investment. #mnleg@MN_Chamber@MNChamExecs

Ask Congress to support the resolution of disapproval of the CFPB’s final rule on Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The rule could make it more expensive for lenders to make loans to small businesses and compromise small business privacy.

This commonsense, bipartisan bill would resolve the ongoing conflict between state and federal law so that banks can serve state-authorized cannabis and cannabis-related businesses, and would also enhance public safety.
“We welcome today's reintroduction of the #SAFEBanking Act in the Senate & House and want to express our thanks to the bill's sponsors @SenJeffMerkley, Sen @SteveDaines, @RepDaveJoyce, and @repblumenauer, as well as the many cosponsors.” New ABA statement: https://t.co/JPHyS8ddSG
@stateofgreatmn This is a complicated issue. Lots of Minnesota employers choose to offer both short- and long-term disability plans, including the association I manage. The paid leave bill provides worse benefits, and it will be less efficient for our employees. For us, it is a step backwards.
Mother nature put on an amazing lightshow at Dornoch last night. Thank you Michael Hanratty of Carnegie Whisky Cellars for sharing the wonderful photos of the northern lights.
