@ian_joo_korea At a guess, the author was using it to mean "phones made in the back of the vocal tract", which _includes_ but is not limited to pharyngeals.
@ian_joo_korea Presumably Latinate adj. of ἄδῠτον, but I've never heard this used in a linguistics context. I assume it's meant to mean "innermost" describing that part of the vocal tract.
