@uselesstinsel@heimkun It’s carrying some weight, but it’s still a very effective lineup change even if you level that out. Schedule has been favorable too, but that unit really is playing great basketball.
@IafornaroSean@TLsportsvictim@tomhaberstroh They also gave up pick 23 of the last draft. And it’s very likely to be better than 8 since it’s whoever rolls higher between Milwaukee and NO
@BTRowland I know youre very sick of arguing about Onyeka. I promise I don’t care how short he is, or even specifically about rebounding…
But for a team with only one real center, they’ve weirdly struggled with him in the game.
@stevejones20@IAmADelinquent As a Hawks fan I'm convinced he wants to be on the career 3P% leaderboard far more than he wants to win basketball games. Just passes up lightly contested ones all the team. Happy to shoot 60% from the corners as long as no one even thinks about closing out.
@ATLSportDist@BTRowland@MikeAScotto I hope so, would love if he works out long term. Could probably have a decent chance of re-signing Dante in the offseason if they really want to anyway. Just thought it might be a close decision.
@ATLSportDist@BTRowland@MikeAScotto Interesting. I certainly haven't watched every game. Maybe 4 or 5?
I've just seen some ugly turnovers, only seen him hit one or two jumpers, some ugly defense. He's definitely a good passer. Dante has flashed plenty though and neither are contributing this season anyway.
@REGGIES_WORLD I'm *pretty* sure that this team can hold on to its play-in spot. Not really sure I expect anything more from them. Hornets are charging, but Bulls should fall off.
@BTRowland a 4% 3pt% advantage has really helped them to be as mid as they've been, and they do have good shooters overall... but it's hard not to feel like a lot is riding on Darryn Peterson or Cam Boozer for this roster into the future.
@BTRowland I'm not melting down at all, especially over Kennard.
Still, it's hard to get a feel for what this roster even is at this point. If you level out the 3P% this is what we're looking at for the Hawks roster. Even mediocre teams are usually positive with their best two players.
@BTRowland Until we get Asa at the 5 with three guards anyway, Brad.
But yeah Landale is clearly a playable center which the Hawks have needed all season and it costs nothing.
I assume he gets Vit’s roster spot. So if they want to convert Koloko they probably have to waive Dante?
@tonymontxnaa@Preet410_ Kinda doubt it, they've done this without giving up any of their own picks. Honestly, not even one good one. Unless they give them both max extensions blind before they get on the court, there's not much risk at all.
