🍌 Heparin can cause hyperkalemia by ⬇️ aldosterone production
🍌 This occurs b/c heparin ⬇️ adrenal angiotensin II receptor expression, and possibly inhibition of intracellular signaling

Not all cardiac arrests at RTCs are traumatic. Job given as traumatic arrest - minimal damage to van or the wall it hit. Dragged the patient out, and a bottle of Gaviscon came with them together with a prescription for omeprazole. Always evaluate the scene!
