@KatiePMcGrady Prayers for tomorrow!
(btw - if you find yourself with a free moment, the Irish pub across the street from the Orleans is a fantastic spot, even if youโre not a drinker)
@BackwardsFeet Yes, Apple refurb devices will typically have new batteries (<25 cycles and 100% battery health). They even qualify for AppleCare+ if you want the added peace of mind
@BackwardsFeet That 2024 Air is fantastic. The leap in performance and battery life from the M1 to the M4 is really noticeable and should get you an extra 1-2 years on the lifespan. Thatโd be my pick
@BackwardsFeet If you have the budget for Apple Store refurbished, spring for it since it has the full one year warranty and those devices are often indistinguishable from a new device cosmetically.
On an eBay refurb Iโd budget for a battery replacement at the least ($129)
@BackwardsFeet I did a quick search on SlickDeals and this deal for a refurb MacBook Air M1 with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD is awesome for $500 - https://t.co/3jEXRXScrl
@BackwardsFeet Downsides are that itโs not user serviceable on the hardware side - but theyโre very well built devices to begin with. And Mac OS at the end of the day is a **nix-based operating system that is rock solid and plenty powerful
@BackwardsFeet Mac laptops - and in particular the MacBook Air - is probably the best product Apple makes now. A base 16GB Air with an Apple Silicon processor is a workhorse and there isnโt a thing a typical person could throw at it that it couldnโt handle for the next 5-6 years
The Democratic party is at a crossroads. Jorge Elorza, CEO of DFER, believes an abundance mindset is the correct path forward. He outlines a reformed education system based on innovation, accountability, and choice. https://t.co/ReXt2n2Uvt
@Dyrnwyn@raustin1 Got it - so ECCA is still very much at the mercy of the states (probably a go here in NV, less likely one state over in CA)
Also the $1700 contribution cap is gonna radically shift fundraising approaches for SGOs
