fundraiser for our friend Kay who is facing eviction. Kay is a legend with extensive knowledge of law and housing and has given invaluable support to other renters in the past.

One of our friends is currently street homeless.
We're raising money to buy him a warm coat and any money left over will go towards checking him into a hostel for a few days, while his solicitors sort out his asylum application and support.

@john_battles@TheLTDA https://t.co/0nOUlTq8d5 "let's go for a ride" "but ya don't know how to drive" tbh, cabbies do occasionally take the piss, but i rarely feel put in danger from them. Probably due to all that time spent doing the knowledge on C90s, just better road sense than the average motorist
??? I thought my tweet was reasonable. I got a notification pn my mobile sauing it they'd replied, then when i went to read it I couldn't as they'd blocked me.
@ADCUnion@novaramedia You haven't seen food delivery riders riding with IWGB stickers on food boxes +bags? Do you think actual riders in IWGB aren't "real" riders somehow? If so the "hobby" accusation is practically the same as"it's a part time gig so you shouldn't expect regular money " argument.

This corporate washing event with deliveroo is our 'must miss' pick of the labour fringe.
Should be a real family event with Joe Carberry head of deliveroo PR and mum Kay Carberry ...a director for progressive britain
“We didn’t need 124,000 documents to tell us Uber are crooks. My union see it every day in the lives of the drivers who have to live the reality of what Uber have done” - Alex Marshall, president of the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) https://t.co/VfqEprHNTJ
What a fantastic use of taxpayers money- using a flatbed pick up truck to seize a low paid workers means of earning.
If only they used these vast resources to go after crooks like @Deliveroo & @ubereats_uk who are exploiting thousands of workers in broad daylight!
A piece I wrote for the @guardian about the leak of #UberFiles that have exposed the corruption many of us always knew about. While @Uber are in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, lets not forget all the other companies who are just as bad (thread)

GMB's partnership deal with Deliveroo demonstrated a wider point about how these kind of deals actually undermine worker organising
'It risks not being threatening enough, not being agitational enough or not being willing to exercise our muscle enough.' https://t.co/fyflJrManT
Such an amazing victory in Dalston!
Empowered workers realising the power of organising & withdrawing their labour to boycott @WingstopUK & force @Deliveroo to come crawling. These workers are not disposable & without them Deliveroo is nothing. Where next!!
We stand in solidarity with all the @RMTunion workers taking action today.
From customer hosts, to technicians, to train painters: all workers deserve a pay rise in line with inflation.
¡Hasta la victoria siempre!
@TheAngryManc99 @alexjkmarshall Having said that, the night manager of one mcdonalds followed me out of one restaurant, ranting, after i ignored his instructions to wait for one order they'd lost the ticket for. So maybe there's little in it.
@TheAngryManc99 @alexjkmarshall Some of the small restaurants are the worst, though. The proprietor of one pursued me down the road when i cancelled a delayed order one busy Saturday night (waiting time unpaid, so it's my time wasted.)
