@ColinLBFCFan@LionsbridgeFC As I understand it, if we stop now the game is abandoned and has to be replayed.
If the game gets to halftime, it is considered played and that score stands.
@ItsReallyNick Was this a standardized test? I get computer based testing has limits, but the teacher needs to follow through and ensure a fair testing experience, including calling out questions that are vague. If standardized, the body overseeing it needs to answer.
@ItsReallyNick Easy enough to test, now that it is graded. If 1 was correct, my interpretation was correct. If the intent was to count the white space as representing the equation, then the answer would be 2.
@ItsReallyNick Perhaps. That is when I would rely on context clues from the instructor, or ask the clarifying question. But the problem specifically refers to the shade area, so I think that is a safe bet. The goal isnβt to trick students, but to encourage math literacy.
@ItsReallyNick 4. Incorrect. The first two whole units are shaded 1/3, but the remaining half unit is fully shaded, and does not represent each unit being 1/3 shaded.

@Skyline_Chili 1. Drive to Kroger.
2. Obtain canned Skyline Chili.
3. Return home.
4. Prepare spaghetti, Skyline chili, and red kidney beans while retelling Skyline lore to the family.
5. Eat the ultimately disappointing result while yearning for a real 5 way and 2 coneys.
