Announcing mattpocock/skills v1
- Achieved a 63% reduction in token cost for skill descriptions
- Split skills into model-invocable and user-invocable skills, adding /codebase-design, /domain-modeling, and /grilling
- (UPDATED) /writing-great-skills - rewritten from the ground up, encoding my skill-writing best practices
- (UPDATED) /diagnose -> /diagnosing-bugs - now model-invocable, awesome for fixing hard bugs
- (NEW) /ask-matt: a router skill that teaches you how all the engineering skills work together
Built a web interface for @mattpocockuk's excellent /teach skill.
Uses Claude Managed Agents so its the same skill you get with your coding agent, just in your browser with nothing to install. Perfect for non-technical users.

In light of what happened, I'm doubling down on skills like /improve.
A frontier model got pulled. If it happened once, it's gonna happen again. Fable today. 4.9 tomorrow or maybe gpt 6 one day.
So, treat intelligence as borrowed. Drain intelligence when it's available. Build a catalog of plans today. Then implement later with a cheaper, open source, or a model you control.
Build the backlog now.

if you’re still writing loops that prompt coding agents you’re falling behind. you need to build a meta agent that infers what loops you would have wanted based on your vibe and then write those loops
@bgkittrell Boo. Idk how long we’ll be able to, wouldn’t be surprised if it dries up quick given the 2x usage. Maybe break glass situations or something
Now picking up one kid’s gf while working in another kid’s self-management app for their summer to not be one never ending @BrawlStars crack fest. Yes I see the irony of being @claudeai cracked
Claude code on mobile is making it way easier for me to focus on my gym session by giving me the distraction in between sets.
Life hack over here to keep me from rushing thru my gym session by continuing my remote sessions (+ mini debugging while using my fitness app)

@GoldRockAILabs@audrlo You forgot the part where it turns on the air conditioner instead and then you spend 4 more minutes getting it to cancel your unintended prime order of glow in the dark masking tape so you can then use your fingers to open Spotify manually
i have seen enough proof now that using a coding agent is a deep skill
it's confusing because the people you see heavily using them produce horrible results
but that's because it's a skill! you can get better and the ceiling seems pretty high - this is very exciting to me
