Fr. Zehren delivers a powerful homily tonight at the Saturday Vigil Mass at Annunciation. This is only a short part of the homily but I think the most inspiring part.
You can see the full Mass on the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Facebook page.
@FrHarrison Fr. Zehren was my boss and beloved pastor for the last 7 years. This time last year he took a sabbatical and walked the Camino - I assume in discernment of the call to be assigned to Annunication. Began there in July. He is the perfect pastor for this tragedy. Evidence of the HS
@NanasaysWTF@BreeSolstad I bet you the last thing on his mind right now is blaming.
His heart is with his spiritual children and his mind is preoccupied with how to care for them.
@soneill06@BreeSolstad Yes. It’s an incredible place that Fr. Zehren led for 8 years. I work there as a Middle School Theology teacher and youth minister
@johnbuckley@DisrespectedThe To give context, the show is Financial Audit where the host Caleb helps people with their personal finances who are often in tons of debt because of their own mistakes and lack of responsibility. I bet he’s been fed up with her for a while before the rant
@tonyannett What’s wrong about a community being united by the pursuit of the ultimate good? What can we possibly place higher than that as the goal of a parish?
@cnalive It’s true. As someone who brought teens and young adults to WYD, much of the large WYD events were performances in the name of prayer. The youth do not need or want more entertainment, they need and want Jesus and to be continually transformed by Him.
@themalcolmmind @FixUSSoccernow@USMNTOtaku Right. My mistake. But my point still holds. Why assume Jedi is answering to the question of why they didn’t win? For all we know it could’ve been a question about that missed call directly. Why be quick to put down our players?
