I love North Carolina. It’s the best state in the nation, and I am incredibly honored to serve you as your governor. My job is to make North Carolina better, safer, and stronger. And this November, I am excited that we’re going to send @RoyCooperNC to the U.S. Senate to help.
respectfully, it ain’t for the clicks. that’s not his world.
pause. listen: he’s running unopposed. he could have used this to rake in a TON of Carolina blue cash - but he’s not taking $.
so, maybe - just maybe - it’s what he said in his interview (https://t.co/aGvP0VeGyB). when you’re someone of Coach Scheyer’s stature, you don’t make accusations of _assault_ off the cuff. it provokes. it escalates. so maybe let’s turn down the temp (sadly, this also leads to fewer clicks)
@TAshleyIC For the next time this comes up (‘cause we know it will), I hope folks will note that @JeffNiemanNC wasn’t doing this for politics. Jeff’s running unopposed. Heck, he’s not even accepting any dadgum political contributions:
@murphsturph Good on WRAL for reporting @JeffNiemanNC’s running unopposed. More significant tho is that he’s not even set up to take contributions right now. Imagine how much he could have pulled in from this! This isn’t grandstanding. Jeff’s doing what he thinks is right.
This is wrong, wrong, wrong. @JeffNiemanNC isn’t doing this for political reasons. He’s running unopposed. Heck, he’s not even accepting any dadgum political contributions:
Shocking that this series of tweets is Jeff’s first and only use of Twitter since he announced his reelection candidacy. Who could have anticipated *that*?
Orange County (NC) DA writes of Duke coach Jon Scheyer: "Someone with the power and influence of a major men’s basketball coach should exercise more discretion before just saying things that can have real-world consequences."
With over 20,000 recording devices there, it’s impossible to imagine that these assaults would not have been captured on one or more of them. So please, if you are in possession of evidence of these crimes, please come forward. 2/2
What a game in the best rivalry in sports! Duke led or the game was tied for 39 minutes, 59.6 seconds. UNC led for 0.4 seconds. The most important 0.4 seconds.
"Here's to the land of the long leaf pine, the summer land where the sun doth shine. Where the weak grow strong and the strong grow great, here's to the down home, the Old North State."
Congratulations to the National Champion UNC Women’s soccer team for its 23rd title! Check out this amazing free kick game winner by Olivia Thomas. Amazing.
