یہ حیران کن بلکہ “ناقص معاہدے” سابق وزیر پٹرولیم شاہد خاقان عباسی نے 2014 میں کیے تھے جب نواز شریف وزیراعظم اور اسحاق ڈار وزیرخزانہ تھے۔

پٹرولیم منسٹری کی ان ناقص معاہدوں کی سمری کی منظوری وزیراعظم نواز شریف کی ک��بینہ نے دی تھی۔ اس سے پہلے ای سی سی سے منظوری وزیرخزانہ اسحاق ڈار نے دی۔

گیس پٹرولیم سکیٹر میں نارمل 16/18 فیصد ریٹرن کی بجائے اس کمپنی کو 46% ریٹرن دیا گیا۔

ایک سو تیس ملین ڈالر کے عوض کمپنی کو ڈیرہ ارب ڈالر ادائیگی کا معاہدہ وہ بھی ایک پاکستانی کراچی کی کمپنی کو ڈالروں میں ادائیگی کا معاہدہ۔۔
اگرچہ پاکستانی تیرہ ارب روپے کو ڈالروں میں کنورٹ کر کے ایک سو تیس ملین ڈالرز کا نام دیا گیا اور ڈالروں میں روزانہ پونے تین لاکھ ادائیگی/کیپسٹی چارجز کا حیران کن معاہدہ کیا گیا۔

اس “ناقص معاہدے “ کے تحت روزانہ 275,000 ڈالرز کراچی کی کمپنی کو 2014 سے مل رہے ہیں چاہے وہ چھوٹا سا ٹرمینل استمعال ہو یا نہ ہو۔

اب وزیرپٹرولیم علی پرویز ملک جو ایک ذہین نوجوان وزیر ہیں زرا وہ سب 2014 کی سمریاں اور ای سی سی اور کابینہ اجلاس کے منٹس نکال کر پڑھ لیں تو سب سمجھ آجائے گا کہ کون کون اس بربادی میں حصہ دا�� تھا۔

لیکن شاید ان کے پر بھی جلیں گے جب وہ سمری پر شاہد خاقان عباسی، اسحاق ڈار اور نواز شریف کے کابینہ وزیروں کے ان ناقص معاہدوں کی منظوری کے دستخط ملاحظ فرمائیں گے۔

اس کے بعد ایک اور لاہور کی کمپنی کو بھی دو لاکھ چوبیس ہزار ڈالر روزانہ پر یہی ڈیل دی گئی۔ پھر وہی شاہد خاقان، اسحاق ڈار اور نواز شریف کی کابینہ منظوری۔۔

اب روزانہ پانچ لاکھ ڈالرز یہ دو کمپنیاں 2014 سے پاکستان سے لے رہی ہیں چاہے ٹرمینل استمعال ہو یا نہ ہو۔ اگر ان حکمرانوں کے دل میں زرا بھی عوام کی پرواہ ہوتی تو یہ ٹرمینل sngpl یا pso کو کہہ کر لگواتے اور اپریٹ کراتے نہ کہ دو پرائیوٹ کمپنیوں کو روزانہ پانچ لاکھ ڈالرز دیتے چاہے استمعال ہو یا نہ ہو۔ ڈالر بھیک مانگ کر یا مہنگے ڈالرز قرضہ لے کر ہم روزانہ پانچ لاکھ ڈالرز ان دو کمپنیوں کو دے رہے ہیں۔ یہ وژن تھا شاہد خاقان عباسی، اسحاق ڈار اور نواز شریف کی کابینہ کا۔
علی پرویز ملک صاحب اچھے اور ذہین وزیر ہیں لیکن پورا سچ ��ول کر جئیں برادر۔ آپ کو سب پتہ ہے اگر نہیں تو فائلیں منگوا کر پڑھ لیں جو آپ کی وزارت میں رکھی ہیں۔ 🙏

Speaking of zardari and assets abroad, the rockwood estate and the Swiss accounts are two helpful trips down memory lane.

Zardari post second round in government:

Denies the Rockwood estate (Surrey mansion) after spending millions of pounds on refurbishing it, filled with hundred thousand pound chandeliers that he decried as being unthinkable for a leader from a poor country.

Then when it was about to be auctioned; zardari decided it was his after all and launched a claim to the asset from jail. He explained his earlier denial of ownership on medical ailments and sought a stay of sale proceedings.

During his second tenure, he was involved in the procurement of a digitisation project for the customs and ports. The companies that bid to win were SGS and cotecna. It was alleged that these companies paid hefty bribes to zardari to win the computerisation contracts. These led to prosecutions of the principals in Switzerland.

Zardari was Convicted in Switzerland for graft related to these contracts. Accounts related to him containing 60 million dollars in Switzerland were frozen.

Zardari then applied for access to these 60 million dollars once the freeze on the graft related account was lifted ONLY because Zardari’s legal team presented the NRO law to the Swiss court and argued that thievery was no longer a crime in that period in Pakistan.

As president in his first term, Once the NRO was declared void ab initio, Zardari’s pppp led government ignored SC directions to write to the Swiss asking for a revisit of that earlier NRO based acquittal.

The PPP Sacrificed a Prime Minister to prevent the writing of the letter. That prime minister was later rewarded with a return to the senate and tickets for his family.

Meanwhile, the court record of the entire Swiss proceedings were then taken from the Pakistani consulate in Switzerland. The person overseeing the taking of the record was then Pakistani consul general in the United Kingdom, wajid shamsul Hasan. Geo’s Murtuza from london was present there for the removal and asked wajid sb on camera what he was upto and the latter refused to offer any replies whilst smoking cigars on the sidewalk.

You may want to ask BBC to correct or clarify their report, which still details your father’s alleged UK property, interestingly moving from denial to apparent acceptance. As they note “Ms Bhutto and Mr Zardari denied owning Rockwood during corruption investigations in Pakistan in the 1990s. But in 2004 Mr Zardari suddenly admitted that it was his.”There are of course many such “misreports” across the international media.Leaving such reporting unaddressed risks creating a rather obvious contradiction.
