Hey @Equinox
8pm close time is absolutely insane.
Some us of New Yorkers like to train at night.
It’s insane to close a gym that early especially given the monthly fee.
I can’t be the only one losing my mind over this?
Viral thread on tech Twitter saying weekly 1:1’s “do more harm than good”
No. No. No. BAD MANAGERS DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD
Who wouldn’t want time each week w/ a mentor who helps + supports you, clears blockers, and challenges you?
If your boss sucks, obviously you hate 1:1’s
No one tells you in higher up tech roles your job is basically to disagree with people and say no without making everyone upset so you'd better work on those people skills early
@buccocapital Typically with these demands you can simply just acknowledge and never follow up and the person demanding will forget and move on to another shiny problem

Judy Wilson-Griffin was a nurse at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She was described as "an incredible nurse, educator, leader and person. Her passion and dedication was second to none." #wewillneverforget
Araceli Buendia Ilagan was an ICU Nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She bravely fought on the frontlines of the pandemic until she could fight no more. She was 63. #wewillneverforget
Kious Kelly was a nurse at New York City's Mount Sinai West Hospital. He was exposed to #COVID19 every day with insufficient PPE like many other doctors. Everyday he showed up to work and did his job. He was 48. #wewillneverforget
I believe it's important that we remember the heroes and loved ones we've lost fighting the #COVID19 pandemic. One of the first heroes we lost was Dr. Li Wenliang who died of the virus after trying to warn colleagues in Wuhan of the dangers of COVID19. #wewillneverforget
me: vampire weekend is a band of my youth, a relic of 2013
me two seconds later: let me do the math about when vw4 will come out if he continues at this rate of progress

This is Joaquin Oliver. He was one of the 17 young lives that were lost tragically at Douglas HighSchool in Parkland. Joaquin was one of many that i heard was excited about my return to Miami and yesterday was buried in my jersey. This is why we will not just SHUT up and dribble!
Congratulations to Stoneman Douglas, the Tier I hockey state champions with a 7-4 victory today over Jesuit. The SD players endured unimaginable tragedy at their school, and now they will bring a state title back to their grieving community. #AMDG https://t.co/joT6kGc0g2
