Covid vaccination. The UK put a women running the vaccination Programme who was a venture capitalist who understood the market, supply chain & contracts. Ireland put an old retired university person with no experience of running programmes of urgency. Says a lot. @patphelan

Taller stems are more common in winter barley this year. Many barley crops were more advanced than normal when CCC was applied this year. Result is apical dominance where the leading tiller continues to receive extra nutrients & light for the rest of the year.
