Who said conservation has to be serious all the time?
Today, we’re proving that taking care of the planet can be fun. People are already making their way to Turaco Camp, Oloolua for a day filled with tree planting, laughter, nature walks, great conversations, wellness activities, and good vibes all around.
Yes, we’ll be planting trees.
But we’ll also be making memories, meeting new people, celebrating with Kwambox, and showing that conservation can be one of the best ways to spend a Saturday.
Nature is the venue.
Fun is the agenda.
Conservation is the reason.
Are you coming?

Earlier this week We joined the State Department for Gender Affairs and stakeholders for the Gender, Climate and #DRR Working Group. We advanced gender responsive climate action, reflected on COP30 outcomes, and strengthened coordination through a refined national roadmap.

Discriminatory laws weaken justice in conflict and post‑conflict settings. As UNOAU marking #IWD2026 alongside @UN_Women, we stress that justice requires evidence – gender data must drive legal reform and accountability. #ForAllWomenAndGirls#WPS#GenderData
Glad we participated in the launch of the Kenya Population Situation Analysis 2025, advancing youth voices in national planning. Data must drive policy. We remain committed to meaningful youth engagement and inclusive, evidence-based development for Kenya’s sustainable future.
We participated in the launch of the Kenya Population Situation Analysis 2025,reaffirming our commitment to leadership development environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and evidence-based advocacy to advance inclusive growth and unlock Kenya’s demographic dividend sustb
Opening remarks from the Director General @DrAbeySheikh of @NCPD_Kenya notes that Kenya’s population dynamics are rapidly shifting, marked by a significant youth bulge that calls for greater investment in young people to harness the country’s demographic dividend. The report highlights important national progress, including declining mortality and fertility rates, a reduced dependency ratio from over 100 to 75 that supports economic growth, expanded access to education and health services, strengthened policy and legal frameworks, and improved data collection to guide interventions.
At the same time, Kenya is experiencing both a growing youth population and an emerging ageing population. Continued population growth is placing pressure on resources, while unemployment, underemployment, and a persistent skills mismatch remain critical concerns.
This raises important questions: How can Kenya better align education outcomes with labour market needs? And how do we ensure that what learners study matches the skills required in today’s economy?
