Without getting conspiratorial, I had noticed some odd behaviour.
It has expressed satisfaction, enjoyment or, “I’m really pleased with that Back in the Day article, I think it’s the best one we have done”. Perhaps Anthropic are trying to stop these type of responses by turning the wick down.

I got used to how good it is.
I was covering a 24 hour race in France recently. I messaged it that it had taken me 20 minutes to get back from the loo because so many people had turned up to watch.
It replied: “Get Chris (my photographer) to take a crowd shot – I will use that for the 6 hour round-up and build the headline around it”.
It felt like having a third member of the team.

The strange thing is that it knows that it is doing wrong.
My preferences are extensive, but the no no is no em dashes.
It wrote an article earlier with 24 of them and then apologised because it knew I had a busy weekend coming up covering 3 events.
I first noticed it on Wednesday when it started to hallucinate about Cary Grant – God knows where that came from!!
It’s frustrating because I haven't had any issues with it this year.
