I’ve stayed far too quiet after being at the game in Debrecen. I’m a proud member of the Debrecen 11. By quiet I mean I haven’t discussed the absolute abuse we have received from a tiny section of “Irish” #Stopthegame fans. They have threatened us and called us all sorts of names. They even asked for us to be named publicly so they could track us down.

What Austria game taught me is that the real irish fans were always on our side. They understood why we chose to go to the game, to support the Irish team the Irish players and our country.

If they come for me, so be it. I love this team and this country and I made it very clear about my feelings around Israel still being allowed to play in UEFA never mind FIFA.
